Introducing the Heartmorrow development blog.

Welcome to the Heartmorrow blog. This blog is intended for me to share my thoughts on the challenges involved in creating features, previewing upcoming features, and all that sort of thing.

What will be published here

Posts will focus mostly on development of Heartmorrow and anything related to that. There are a lot of interesting technical challenges that come up with marrying LLMs to a deterministic game world, and I wanted to have a centralized location to talk about that sort of thing that isn’t Discord. Discord is great for real-time chat, but not so good for long-form content.

Additionally I plan on sharing more in-depth previews of upcoming features and stuff like that.

Getting started

If you came here wondering what Heartmorrow even is and want to try it out, begin with the installation guide. It covers all the major operating systems, including some bits around the self-contained setup to make installation as easy as possible.

The FAQ is also a good resource to take a look at, it explains supported model providers, local model setup, gameplay systems, character creation, and troubleshooting. You can also join the Discord to talk about the game with the community, share characters/worlds, submit feature suggestions or report bugs, and also get some live troubleshooting if things go wrong. The community is still small, but hopefully it will grow as time passes!

Thank you for reading.
